Latest verified release
This page uses a checked snapshot of GitHub's public Releases API. “Latest verified” means newest in that response at the stated check time. It is not a live assertion that no newer version exists. Follow the official release link before downloading.

What the release labels mean
- Latest non-pre-release: the newest published release in our snapshot that is not flagged as a pre-release and does not have a release-candidate, alpha or beta suffix. GitHub may call it a stable release; the application can still be at an alpha stage.
- Pre-release: GitHub marks it as a pre-release, or the tag explicitly denotes a candidate or preview. Tag names and GitHub flags can disagree; both are retained in the snapshot.
- Historical release: an older entry, useful for comparing changes and reproducing a problem.
- Draft: unpublished release information is outside this public snapshot. We do not claim access to drafts.
The development stage comes from project documentation, rather than the presence or absence of a GitHub flag. The official roadmap still describes alpha development in the review used by this guide.
Official downloads
Get binaries from PhotoCraft's official GitHub Releases. We do not host installers, repack binaries or redirect downloads through an intermediary. Open the release's assets list and choose the file for your operating system and CPU architecture.
The checked v0.8.2 release contains macOS, Windows, Linux, FreeBSD and WebAssembly artifacts. This confirms that those files were offered, not that we tested every platform. Read the release's installation instructions, and compare the downloaded file with the publisher's SHA-256 checksums where provided. Never substitute a checksum from another version.
Why the website and GitHub can differ
At our October 13 source check, the PhotoCraft product page displayed 0.7.0, while GitHub's public release response listed v0.8.2, published October 12 (UTC). Product-page download links, launcher versions and application versions are separate pieces of information and may update on different schedules.
Check the repository, tag and asset filename together. The ArtCraft Launcher version is not the PhotoCraft version. If the sources disagree, use the explicit PhotoCraft release entry for that build and treat this guide's snapshot as dated evidence.
Connect a version to a feature claim
Release notes describe changes for a particular build. Main-branch documentation may describe changes made after that build. A merged pull request or a closed issue is not enough to establish which installer contains a fix.
Before relying on a change, locate the release tag, read its notes and compare it with the previous version. For a compatibility claim, record the build, operating system, sample file and the result. Our PhotoCraft vs Photoshop comparison keeps older roadmap assessments separate from current release information.
How this page stays useful
The first edition uses a static, versioned snapshot instead of making an uncached API call for every visitor. Refreshing the snapshot is an explicit editorial step, followed by content review, validation and deployment. If GitHub cannot be reached during that step, the previous verified data remains available with its original timestamp.
New releases may appear between checks. The official links above remain the destination for current downloads. The source list below records where the snapshot came from; unpublished drafts and releases outside the retained recent-response window are not represented.
